It’s Summertime!

One thing that you can count on,  a swift ride down the road, almost any road, will blow a bad day into a day made easier by simply being in the wind.  Riding gives you time to think, collect your ideas and let the wind whip the confusion away!  This Memorial Day weekend was just about perfect for riding and we took advantage of Mother Nature’s gift!  Riding down to the cemetery to join the tributes to the fallen Service Men and Women is always a humbling experience, but there is no way that we would not go.

This Morning I walked out and sat on the beautiful wooden glider that my family made for my birthday and Mother’s day.  I took my mug of coffee and listened to the birds wake up.  Since we live in the middle of trees on a dirt road,  it is pretty quiet around here most of the time anyway.   I love early mornings like that.  And I plan on being right back on the glider in another five hours!  (As soon as it’s light outside)

Ol’Boy brought home some of my favorite snacks, and I am feeling all kinds of spoiled.  I LOVE dried pineapple and dried Mango!  And those fresh Praline Cashews and Pecans ! I could eat those things until I couldn’t walk!  I have to limit myself when I get a bag.

I am STILL struggling on whether to kill off the “hero” of my book or let his arrogant ass live.  He has a few redeeming features, but I am giving him another five thousand words to put up or die.

I started a new series also, so this book will be a marriage of 3 entities .  It introduces the new players and keeps the old players valid.  Next week I will post an excerpt from the new book/ series.  I might even have my “hero” Dutch straightened out by the end of the week!

Keep upright ! Ryder
